What is Bonnie?

Bonnie is the easiest way to protect your home and family by monitoring the items in your home for recalls and other safety issues.

How do I sign up for Bonnie?

To sign up for Bonnie, go to our homepage and click on the “Get protected now” button in the middle of the screen. Next, click on the button for the email account you would like Bonnie to monitor, and log into that email account following the on-screen prompts. After granting access, Bonnie scans your inbox and compiles a list of your purchases. That's it! Once you're done, enjoy the peace of mind knowing Bonnie is watching out for you and your family.

What email clients do you support?

Bonnie currently supports Gmail, Google Apps, Outlook.com (including Hotmail, MSN, & Windows Live), and AOL.

Which languages does Bonnie support?

For now, Bonnie only speaks English (US), but hopes to speak other languages in the future.

How can I delete my account?

To delete your account, send an email to support@bonnieai.zendesk.com from the email address associated with your account, and put ”Delete My Account” in the subject line. We will try our best to process your request within 72 hours.

Security

Is my information secure?

Bonnie believes that security is very important. To prevent unauthorized access, Bonnie employs multi­-level security mechanisms including dedicated firewalls, VPN services, intrusion prevention systems, and stringent access controls. Additionally, data are always transmitted securely to and from Bonnie via 256 bit SSL (bank level encryption).

Does Bonnie store my passwords?

Bonnie believes that security is very important. For major email providers like Gmail, Microsoft, and AOL, Bonnie does not see or store your passwords. When you grant access to your inbox, Gmail, Microsoft, and AOL provide a token, which Bonnie presents each time the Bonnie Receipt Scanner activates. For email and shopping accounts that do not offer this option, Bonnie stores your passwords in an encrypted format.

Why is my email client warning me of somebody using IMAP from another location?

Bonnie uses the IMAP protocol as the connection to your mailbox.

Emails

Are all my emails scanned?

The only information that the Bonnie Receipt Scanner cares about is information related to products and purchases, which can be monitored for recalls and other safety issues. Bonnie was engineered to integrate directly with email accounts to protect homes and families with the least amount of hassle.

Can I organize and delete my emails?

In order for Bonnie to detect and monitor your purchases, we need to have access to any associated emails - such as shipping, confirmation, and customer service emails. Please do not delete those types of emails, but you may put them into folders, archive them, or add tags to them. You may delete any other emails.
